Welcome to the Blacktip Challenge Website

The Blacktip Challenge is a land-based shark fishing tournament in Florida. We are a conservation based tournament and encourage the release of sharks. The Blacktip Challenge works on a joint research effort with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Cooperative Shark Tagging Program (NOAA), and the International Land-Based Shark Fishing Association (ILSFA).

2010 Tournament

As you may remember, the 2009 tournament was professionally documented and is currently being produced into an engaging and exciting documentary-style video program. Our current plan now, is to use that, in conjunction other marketing and promotional effort this year, to strategically set the stage for a 2011 tournament that will take this unique event to even higher levels of popularity and mainstream awareness. That will be here before we know it and we'll look forward to collaborating with you, once again. In the meantime, I'll be sure and keep you updated, as we progress with these efforts and move closer to the 2011 Blacktip Challenge.
